Vision Statement

The Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre (RLRHC) is a hub for the region and is culturally and historically active and vibrant.  It is more than a museum; it is a learning centre for everyone and a welcoming and interesting place for locals and visitors alike – it is a destination point and a source of community pride.

Mission Statement

Working in partnership with the community, the municipality and key stakeholders, the RLRHC is a leader in the preservation, promotion and celebration of the region’s natural and cultural heritage.  This mission is fulfilled by:

Principles

The RLRHC operates by demonstrating the following principles:

    • Inclusion: many cultural and interest groups are represented in the Centre.  Stories are told from various perspectives and voices.
    • Participation:  the Heritage Centre is an active participant in cultural tourism initiatives and educational projects.
    • A Welcoming Destination:  The Heritage Centre is a safe, welcoming and comfortable destination and meeting place for local residents and visitors.
    • Respectful:  Respect for people, visitors, employees, volunteers and partners is a priority at all times.
