Job requirements Languages English Education College/University Graduate Experience 1 to less than 7 months Event & Education Skills Planning and hosting events; educational programs; visitor services; social media & advertising Work Setting Museum, collections storage The Events and Education Facilitation Intern will run events and programs and promote the RLRHC Objectives Develop and run events that target both locals and out of town visitors - Brainstorm a list of possible events - Compare the list of events to past events and modify the list accordingly and report - Based on the report and the list, develop and run a minimum of three events Develop and run programs for children: - Update programs for distance education or online Promote the reopening of the Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre building: - Brainstorm ideas for an event for the reopening of the building to the public in 2021 - Plan the event and determine what resources are necessary - Advertise the event - Run the event Maintain the web presence: - Brainstorm ideas for social media posts - Develop a list of ongoing posts - Create the content and post it on social media outlets - Maintain advertising for the gift shop, special events, programs, or any news To Apply In order to apply for the position of Events and Education Facilitation Intern, the applicant will be required to email their resume, and cover letter to heritage@redlake.ca |
