Facility Rentals

Conveniently located off of Highway 105 when entering Red Lake, the Heritage Centre offers facilities for Corporate Patrons, nonprofit organizations, and individuals. Discover how corporate & social events at the Heritage Centre can turn into unforgettable occasions!

The Board Room
The Board Room is ideal for small meetings, business lunches and presentations. This room contains a full kitchen, boardroom table, 12 chairs, a ceiling mounted projector and a pull down projector screen.
Internet Access Included

The Main Exhibit Gallery
The Main Exhibit Gallery can serve a variety of functions. The room can be rearranged to host movies, meetings, workshops, concerts and even Christmas parties!

The Lobby
The Lobby is a bright, beautiful space, well-suited to smaller receptions and social events. Floor to ceiling windows provide great light and a lovely view. From the Lobby renters also have direct access to the Heritage Centre's front patio.

Educational Tours

If you would like to bring a class or group to the Heritage Centre we offer organized tours and potential learning opportunities through our education programs. Please contact us to book a group visit. 

Heritage Centre Archives & Research

The Heritage Centre holds more than 30,000 historic documents, journals, newspapers and photographs about the history of Red Lake and the surrounding areas, which can be made available to researchers. Documents and videos must be viewed at the Centre. No materials may leave the Archives. The Heritage Centre reserves the right to deny a researcher certain materials if the Centre considers them too sensitive to be handled. If this is the case, special arrangements will be made. 

Applicable Fees

Research is conducted by the staff of the Heritage Centre. Please contact the Heritage Centre to obtain an accurate estimate of any fees that may apply to your research.

The Heritage Centre reserves the right to waive the research fee for special projects

Reproduction of Photographs
Conditions: 
  • The Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre reserves the right to determine which photograph may be reproduced. 
  • Photographs are provided for one-time use only, unless otherwise stated. 
  • The sale of photographs does not include permission for reproduction. Permission for reproductions must be obtained and will be granted if the proposed use of the photograph meets with the approval of the museum. 
  • Photographs may be ordered for research purposes and then released for publication by letter after payment of a publication fee. 
  • Permission to publish or further reproduce material is granted for a specific purpose or occasion and does not transfer the copyright of the original material to the requester. 
  • Photographs from the Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre must be credited to the museum and should credit the original photographer when known. 
  • The author/publisher of any publication containing an illustration from the Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre shall provide one complimentary copy to the museum. 
  • Researchers are not allowed to copy photographs using their own cameras or other equipment. 
  • Photographs shall not be copied or incorporated in the collections of any archives, library, or other repository without the written permission of the Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre. 
  • Photographs shall not be retouched or altered in any way which would affect their historical or artistic integrity.

Researchers are asked to call to book an appointment at least 24 hours ahead.

sCANNING/DIGITIZING

Researchers may utilize the RLRHC's digitization technology as part of their project. Scans can be purchased at 25 cents/page.

In addition, the RLRHC digitizes a variety of documents with in its collection and offers access to such documents. Researchers can access the District News, the Northern Sun News, and several other publications.
