Premier Gold Mines*

Premier Gold Mines is a respected gold mining and exploration company that has numerous projects in Canada, the United States and Mexico.  The company, through acquisition and discovery, currently has projects at stages ranging from exploration to mining and gold production.  In 2017 Premier produced 140,000 ounces of gold at an all in cost of US$627 per ounce.

In Red Lake, the 100% owned Hasaga project that contains the former producing Hasaga and Goldshore Mines, is a high priority for Premier.    Since acquiring the Hasaga and Buffalo properties  in 2015, to the end of 2017, Premier has drilled 130km of diamond drilling at a cost of C$19 million. The company has outlined 1.7 million ounces of near surface gold resources in the Hasaga, Central and Buffalo zones that may be economic using an open pit mining method.  Premier also works closely with Goldcorp on the Rahill-Bonanza JV partnership that is being explored from underground in the area between the Red Lake and Cochenour mines.

Premier’s exploration efforts in Red Lake initially concentrated on the follow-up of previous near surface exploration results to determine mineral potential and economics.  In 2017, Premier released a report confirming an indicated plus inferred resource of 65 million tonnes at 0.83g/t. Metallurgical lab studies confirmed high gold recoveries of >90% adding optimism that the project has potential to be developed.

Premier is examining the potential for a stand-alone underground mine and is currently focused on exploring and extending the historical underground Hasaga Mine.  So far, the 2017 and 2018 results have confirmed and continue expand and delineate the historical “C” zone.  The plan is to complete a market compliant (NI-43-101) report of new resources by the end of 2018.
