E-Book available to purchase through Amazon
Red Lake Fire # 14 was a massive forest fire that threatened the 5,000 inhabitants of Red Lake, a remote gold mining community in Northwestern Ontario. In this book, the story of Fire # 14 is told through the personal recollections of 30 individuals and fire fighting personnel who experienced the fire from different perspectives. Recollections range from the crew leader who led the initial attack on the fire, to a nun who was evacuated to the army barracks in Gimli, Manitoba, and a young mother who was terrified of being separated from her children during the airlift.

Colouring Book - Inspired by Nature by Sabryn Drystek
Inspired By Nature: A Colouring Book by Sabryn Drystek
"My name is Sabryn and I am a student at St. John's School. I have been interested in art since I was young, and I have been creating, sketching and painting ever since. I tend to add a lot of detail into my artwork, many of which are displayed in scenes of this book. I created this colouring book because I wanted to do something different than the typical fundraiser, and this year my class is going on a trip to Toronto so we are doing a lot of fundraising. I thought it would be fun to go through the process of creating and selling a colouring book instead. Many scenes in this colouring book are inspired by the nature walks and camping experiences that my family and I have gone on. I hope you enjoy colouring the art pieces as much as I enjoyed drawing them. Thank you for purchasing my colouring book." - Sabryn Drystek

Book - The Morrisseau Papers: An Inside Story by: Hazel Fulford and Robert Lavack
The Morrisseau Papers: An Inside Story
By: Hazel Fulford and Robert Lavack
124 pages, paperback
The story of Norval Morrisseau's life is the story of a man whose inner self was lost in the wilderness between two worlds that each had a claim on him. From this wilderness emerged a brilliant array of images that captivated the art world. He was awarded the highest tribute of the Ojibwa. The Great Eagle Feather, and from our government he received the Order of Canada.
Norval reaped many other honours. However, the spotlight that attends fame could not penetrate the dark core where conflicts lurked that he could not resolve. Genius is often referred to as a gift. Yet Norval paid a heavy price to become one of the greatest Canadian artists of the twentieth century.

Gold Mining Spurs Air Transportation in Canada, 1926-1936
By: Donald F. Parrott
168 pages, paperback
Owing to the vast land stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific Oceans, 4000 miles apart and 2000 miles from its southern border to the Arctic Ocean, Canada became an air minded nation. All roads, rails and major communications go through Winnipeg, the capital city of Manitoba. Explorers and fur traders began using commercial aviation after the First World War when aircraft became available for sale at low cost as war surplus. In these crafts, supplies, explorers and traders were flown quickly over long distances in the barren lands when there were no roads, rivers or lakes.
