Historic Red Lake Mining

Compared to Canada's other mining districts, the Red Lake mining camp is relatively young. While reports of the region's mineralization began occurring as early as the 1870's, it was not until 1926 that Red Lake garnered the attention of gold seekers and mining heavyweights alike. From geology to mine sports leagues, Historic Red Lake Mining explores the origins of the Red Lake's mining industry and community development.
